Meet the therapist
Abby Avery, MS, CCC-SLP
Hi, I’m Abby! I’m a state-licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working with children from infants to teens in both school settings and pediatric outpatient clinics.
I specialize in early language development, gestalt language processing, expressive and receptive language disorders, late talkers, AAC devices (including TouchChat and TD Snap), articulation disorders, and phonological disorders. My goal is to create a fun, supportive, and engaging environment where children can build confidence in their communication skills.
When I’m not working, you can find me traveling to new places, baking up something delicious, or spending time with my two cats!

Language Therapy
If your child has difficulty understanding or using language to interact with the world around them, they may benefit from language therapy. After a comprehensive language evaluation, we will determine the nature of the disorder to create individualize language goals. We use a child-led, play-based approach in our sessions to promote engagement and effectiveness!
We assess and treat late talkers, expressive language disorders, receptive language disorders, and gestalt language processing.

Speech Therapy
If yourself or others have difficulty understanding your child’s speech when trying to communicate, they may benefit from speech therapy. After a comprehensive speech evaluation, we will identify sound errors and error patterns to create individualized sound goals. Our sessions are entertaining and fun with lots of sound production practice!
We assess and treat articulation disorders, phonological disorders, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

We are currently an out-of-network provider, however we do provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Depending on your out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance. A superbill is a receipt of services that have already been rendered. We recommend calling your insurance company to see if they will reimburse you for speech and language therapy services.
